The biggest mental obstacle most people need to conquer when they start dating, is the need to leap too quickly serious relationship.
Don’t be in too much of a hurry to get into a solid relationship and out of the dating world.
This problem presents itself often with guys and gals that date infrequently or lean towards long tern monogamous relationships. You need to get comfortable playing the singles game and dating as many people as needed, until you find exactly what you’re looking for. Don’t settle for less.
Most singles want to get out of the untamed instability of the dating scene so that you can establish one man or woman in your life. But, you need to make sure it’s the right man or woman. If you don’t, you’ll end up back in the dating scene all over again, when things don’t work out.
Men: Don’t think that the only way you’re going to get “laid” is to commit. Most women aren’t looking for wedding bells before they sleep with you. And if they are, move along ... getting laid isn’t worth jumping into a serious relationship with someone you don’t even know.
This is what happens when you fall into the dating trap:
Most people’s minds are trained for consistency. As you date other people, you find yourself energized by meeting new single women or men.
But because you’re inexperienced at dating, your fail much more frequently at attracting the people you really like than you succeed. This leads to discouragement.
Once you start doubting yourself, and your confidence takes a blow and you feel off-putting about the process. You stop improving your dating method because of failures. The need to get out of the dating scene then get stronger and you end up settling for whatever person you can attract ... even though that person isn’t what you’re looking for. You then end up breaking up with that person and end up singles all over again.
So, the first thing you need to-do to correct this is to learn to be single. You need to be happy single, so you don’t rush into relationships.
Then, get back into the dating game and date, date, date ... eventually you’ll become a experienced dater. And with that, you’ll be able to attract the people you really want. One that happens, you can settle down into a long term relationship, knowing that the person your with is really compatible with you. |
