Once you have taken the set of instant messaging and/or talking on the telephone, and you feel like this a person you would like to know, then it’s time for a direct meeting. Keep in mind, that you should not sound too anxious to meet this special girl or guy. This can be a turn off and even seem creepy to some.
Simply mention a possible meeting, and see if the other person is interested. Don’t be pushy.
The Rendezvous
It is not a good idea to invite someone over before know the person! The best meeting place is public place other people around. This isn’t just for safety, but it also makes easy just to leave if the person isn’t what he/she made themselves out to be.
The most common place is a restaurant for lunch or dinner or the local coffee shop. These make comfortable places to chat. Make sure to agree on a place where the noise level isn’t to loud.
You should remember you table manners ... no talking with your mouth full!
Places like the movies or a night club should be avoided, because they make it hard to talk to a person.
If you really need a drink to loosen up, try a quiet pub.
Lunch time on a work day is one of the best times to meet as most people only have a hour to spare.
So you can always leave on the pretext that you have to get back for.
Make sure your can arrive to your date on time, as you don’t to keep the person waiting.
Dress properly for the occasion. Don’t under or over dress and make sure it’s something that looks good on you. Try to look a little sexy, but don’t over do it.
Paying for a bill The general rule here is that both people pay for their side of the bill. This usually keeps everyone happy.
Future meetings:
If you feel if everything is going well, and you like the other person enough, you should try to mention the possibly of another date in the future ... again, don’t be pushy. If the other person agrees it a good idea, then it’s a good chance they feel the same about you. There’s no need to set a date or time on the spot. Instead, you should focus on finding a activity you both enjoy doing. Like a roller blade in park or going to focal festival you both want to attend.
Remember, that no matter what you decided to-do for your first date, you can leave anytime you want, if the other person make you feel uncomfortable or you just don’t like them. There are plenty of fish in the sea and you can always catch another one.
